Our Mission
We aspire to be people and a church that embodies “Passion for Jesus and Compassion for People.”
“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’ (Matthew 22:33-39).
What to expect on Sunday mornings
When you walk through the front door, you will be greeted with a smile. Our greeters will be in the foyer ready to help you find the sanctuary, restrooms, and children’s ministry. If you have any questions, stop by the Welcome Center in the foyer before and after service. We’re a friendly bunch and we’d love to serve you.
- Kids: Babies through sixth grade children experience safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in creative and relevant ways. Our Children’s Ministry is so much more than childcare and such a vitally important part of our church. Through things like sharing stories, reading the Bible, playing with toys, eating snacks, building relationships with children and so much more, our children are growing in ways to understand and live out a life like Jesus. There is a check-in process for safety.
- Coffee: Swing by our coffee shop before service and enjoy a coffee or drink on us! Just our a small way of saying, “We’re glad you’re here.”
- Music: Our service begins with our worship team leading the church in music. You will hear a variety of songs each service that include hymns and current worship songs. The song lyrics are projected onto two screens. We invite you to worship the Lord in whatever way you feel comfortable. You have permission to come to the altar, stand, sit, kneel, clap or lift your hands at any point during the service.
- Be Our Guest: There will be an opportunity to give a financial offering which supports the ministries of our church locally and globally. As our guest, please do not feel obligated to give.
- Message: Our Sunday service begins at 10:45am and typically lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes. You will hear a message from our Pastor that is filled with God’s Word and applicable to daily life. To get a feel for our Sunday service, you can watch past services here.
The Church of the Nazarene
As a part of the global Church of the Nazarene, you can find more information at nazarene.org.
As Nazarenes, our core values embody who we are:
A Christian People: As members of the Church Universal, we join with all true believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ and in affirming the historic Trinitarian creeds and beliefs of the Christian faith. We value our Wesleyan-Holiness heritage and believe it to be a way of understanding the faith that is true to Scripture, reason, tradition, and experience. We are united with all believers in proclaiming the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We believe that in divine love God offers to all people forgiveness of sins and restored relationship. In being reconciled to God, we believe that we are also to be reconciled to one another, loving each other as we have been loved by God and forgiving each other as we have been forgiven by God. We believe that our life together is to exemplify the character of Christ.
A Holiness People: God, who is holy, calls us to a life of holiness. We believe that the Holy Spirit seeks to do in us a second work of grace, called by various terms including "entire sanctification" and "baptism with the Holy Spirit"-cleansing us from all sin, renewing us in the image of God, empowering us to love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbors as ourselves, and producing in us the character of Christ. Holiness in the life of believers is most clearly understood as Christlikeness.
A Missional People: We are a sent people, responding to the call of Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to go into all the world, witnessing to the Lordship of Christ and participating with God in the building of the Church and the extension of His kingdom (Matthew 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 6:1). Our mission begins in worship, ministers to the world in evangelism and compassion, encourages believers toward Christian maturity through discipleship, and prepares women and men for Christian service through Christian higher education.
Our agreed statement of faith is:
WE BELIEVE in one God—the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living
WE BELIEVE that human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
WE BELIEVE that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
WE BELIEVE that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
WE BELIEVE that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
WE BELIEVE that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
